FuzzFolio Privacy Policy (Draft)

Effective date: [YYYY-MM-DD]

At a glance
FuzzFolio helps you design your own scoring profiles, alerts, and (soon) webhook automations. You stay in control of what you create, who sees it, and how it is used.

1. Who we are

FuzzFolio ("we", "us") builds analytics software for traders and strategy designers. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use our websites, dashboards, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the Service:

  • Account details you provide, such as name, email address, and password. These let us set up and secure your account.
  • Workspace content you create (scoring profiles, rules, notification settings, webhook payloads). This content belongs to you.
  • Product telemetry about how features are used. Once PostHog is enabled, we will collect anonymized usage analytics (e.g., which screens are visited, which buttons are clicked). We do not attach these events to your name or trading data.
  • Support communications if you contact us for help.

We do not ingest brokerage credentials, trading balances, or order history.

3. How we use information

We use your information to:

  • Authenticate you and deliver the dashboards, notifications, and upcoming webhook features you expect.
  • Maintain, debug, and improve the Service.
  • Send account-related emails (e.g., verification, security, or billing notices).
  • Understand feature adoption in aggregate so we can prioritize improvements.

We do not sell or rent personal information.

4. Notifications, webhooks, and automations

You choose which signals trigger notifications or webhooks. When webhook functionality is enabled, FuzzFolio will transmit only the payloads you configure to the endpoints you supply. We do not monitor, resell, or reuse those payloads.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We do not share your personal information or workspace content with third parties, except when required to process core services (e.g., authentication, hosting) or to comply with law. Service providers are bound to use data only for the contracted purpose.

6. Analytics with PostHog

We plan to use PostHog to gather anonymous product analytics. PostHog will receive event data that does not include personally identifying information or the contents of your scoring profiles. We rely on these metrics to understand which features are helpful and to guide roadmap decisions.

7. Security and retention

We apply standard technical and organizational safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, and continual monitoring). You can delete scoring profiles or close your account at any time; we remove your workspace content from active systems promptly, and may retain minimal logs or backups as required for integrity, legal obligations, or dispute resolution.

8. Your choices

  • Update profile details in the app settings.
  • Disable notifications or webhooks you no longer want.
  • Request account deletion or data exports by contacting us.
  • Opt out of analytics once the in-app toggle ships (we will document this control alongside the PostHog rollout).

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will post the revised policy in the app and change the effective date above. Material updates may also be announced via email or in-product notice.
